The Coolest Place

— Greg R

“The coolest place to go in grass valley, all the people who work here are always nice. They even helped my son put together his very first skate board, which they did not have to do, they were just as excited as he was.”

Our Mission

Today and all days, our goal is to provide safe and inclusive opportunities for our community to gather and grow - at Goodtimes and out in the world. In response to the adversity people and small businesses face, we are focused now more than ever in our 24 years as Goodtimes to empower our inclusive community to express themselves as skaters, artists, activists, and friends in Northern California and beyond. Find us and our goals at work around the clock online or in our retail space, located at 146 Mill Street in Grass Valley, California.

Our History

In the fall of 1997, three local kids - Adam Cunningham, Beau Pollock and Beau's brother Lee - opened Goodtimes' first storefront on Zion Street in Nevada City, California. With a common love for all things boards, Cunningham and the Pollock boys focused the shop on snowboards. This was, however, until current Goodtimes owner, Sam Anderson, alongside Gus Coronel, bought the business in 1999 and moved Goodtimes to a space on Mill Street in neighboring Grass Valley, California. That same year, the Grass Valley Skatepark was built up the street from the shop and Goodtimes took off alongside Grass Valley's budding early-2000's skate scene. Sam and Gus ran Goodtimes on Mill street together for 18 years, making lifelong friends in the shop and placing Grass Valley at the forefront of the Northern California skate scene.
